Yes. Our menstrual discs are made from medical-grade silicone, free from BPA, latex and phalates, by an ISO certified trusted manufacturer and comply with Australian TGA requirements.

Our Small disc can be a good option if you have a lower cervix or are new to using internal period care.

Our Regular disc may be better suited to those with a higher cervix, a heavier flow, or who have had previous vaginal births. Finding your best fit can take a little trial and error, as every body is different. If you are unsure which size is right for you, please contact us, we’re here to help.

You can gently insert a clean finger into the vagina during your period and feel for the cervix, which can feel a little like the tip of your nose. If you reach it easily, you may have a lower cervix; if it’s harder to reach, it may sit higher.

To insert, wash your hands, pinch the disc in half and gently guide it back and down into the vaginal canal. Push it back as far as it comfortably goes so it sits around the base of the cervix, then tuck the front rim up behind the pubic bone.

To remove, wash your hands, relax, then hook a finger under the removal notch or front rim and gently pull the disc forward and out, keeping it as level as possible to minimise spills. For some people, squatting in the shower can make removal easier and a little less messy.
It can take a little practice at first, and that’s completely normal.

Yes. Your Elori menstrual disc can be worn for up to 12 hours at a time, making it suitable for overnight use. Always empty, wash and reinsert as needed depending on your flow.

Yes. Because a menstrual disc sits higher in the vaginal canal, at the base of the cervix, it can be worn during penetrative sex. Everyone’s experience is different, so you may notice the disc more or less depending on your anatomy and positioning.

Menstrual discs do not rely on suction in the same way menstrual cups do, and many people with IUDs choose to use them. If you have an IUD, it’s a good idea to speak with your healthcare provider about whether a menstrual disc is suitable for you.

Wash your disc with clean water and a mild, fragrance-free cleanser suitable for silicone. Rinse thoroughly before reinserting and sterilise between cycles according to the care instructions provided.

Once completely dry, store your disc in the breathable cotton bag supplied.

With proper care, your reusable Elori menstrual disc can last for up to 5 years. Replace it sooner if you notice any tears, cracks, significant changes in texture or other signs of deterioration.

If leaks occur, make sure the disc is pushed back as far as it can comfortably go, covering the cervix, with the front rim tucked securely behind the pubic bone.

It can take a little practice to get the positioning right. You may also like to wear a backup liner or period underwear, particularly while getting used to your disc or on heavier-flow days.
